1. Thin/Light Joggers | Not gonna lie, wearing pants is probably the hardest thing to wear in Texas because it's just SO hot, so my go-to bottom for the springtime that isn't shorts is a pair of plain light joggers that crop just before your ankles. You can dress it up with a blouse or crop top for a comfortable business casual/causal look. The light fabric material isn't too thick and structured which allows your legs to still breathe while being covered (since not all events call for short shorts!)
2. Pastel/Neutral Chiffon Blouses | They're breathable and chic which makes them right up my alley. You can wear them with almost any type of bottoms to create a fully dressy or semi-formal look. Popular trends I actually fell into include the off-the-shoulder and lace up that are just super flirty and adorable for the season.
3. White/Ivory Dresses/Rompers | It's funny how wearing dresses gives the illusion of 100% style effort, and all you do is slip on one piece. I've been constantly grabbing my ivory lace romper because it's so comfortable and I can dress them up with heels or loafers, or down with my keds or slip ons. It takes 2 seconds to put on a dress or jumpsuit and you will look great without even trying! I used to think wearing a dress required so much effort, but trust me, it makes you feel and look super good! And if you're not on the girly side, t-shirt dresses are also in and super cute and comfy.
4. Neutral Crossbody Bag | I'm that one girl with 500 purses and can never decide which to use, and in the end i'm just super lazy to move items from on purse to another... so having a staple, simple crossbody you can wear anywhere is super convenient if you're indecisive like me (which doesn't make sense because purses are meant to be used and not stashed away...?). Plus, if you're not into bright colored/pattered purses meant for the spring and summer, using a beige/tan bag or any basic colored purse is perfect.
Look out for upcoming summer posts!
